Mooncakes have been part of Wong Wong Bakery’s story since 2004, when our team first began producing them by hand in the heart of Manchester’s Chinatown. In those early days every mooncake was crafted using traditional methods, from mixing and shaping to pressing and finishing. As more customers discovered our mooncakes and demand increased, we introduced machinery to support production and maintain consistency. Today most of the process is carried out by modern equipment, but the skill of our bakers remains essential. Each mooncake still requires hand work, careful finishing and the same attention to detail that defined our earliest batches. All mooncakes are packed on site to ensure freshness and quality from our bakery to your table.
